This is actually false. Measles mortality dropped well before the vaccine came into play in 1963. You'll find by watching episodes of old shows like the Brady Bunch, or just by talking to your grandmother, that no one cared about measles until the country was flooded with propaganda from Big Pharm on how "deadly" they are. Maybe true if you are in poverty. Not true if you live a normal, American life.
